  • Passive Immunisation: To protect lambs and calves against infections caused by these clostridial species, except C. haemolyticum in sheep.

Onset and Duration of Immunity

  • Onset: Immunity develops two weeks after completing the primary vaccination course.
  • Duration: An anamnestic humoral immune response to all components was demonstrated 12 months following the primary course of vaccination.

Dosage and Administration

  • Sheep: From 2 weeks of age, administer 1 ml subcutaneously.
  • Cattle: From 2 weeks of age, administer 2 ml subcutaneously.

Vaccination Schedule:

  • Primary Vaccination: Two doses administered 4–6 weeks apart.
  • Booster Vaccination: A single dose administered at 6 to 12-month intervals.

For pregnant animals, to provide passive protection to offspring via colostrum, administer a single booster dose between 8 and 2 weeks before parturition, provided they have received a full primary vaccination course before pregnancy.

Storage and Handling

  • Do not freeze.
  • Use within 8 hours after first opening.

Special Precautions

  • In case of accidental self-injection, seek medical advice immediately.

Adverse Reactions

Common adverse reactions include localized swelling at the injection site, which may reach up to 6 cm in sheep and 15 cm in cattle; occasionally, reactions of up to 25 cm diameter may be seen in cattle. Most local reactions resolve within 3–6 weeks in sheep and in less than 10 weeks in cattle, but may persist longer in a minority of animals. An abscess may develop in some animals. Vaccination may give rise to reactions in the underlying tissues at the injection site. Skin discolouration at the injection site (which returns to normal as the local reaction resolved) may occur. Localized pain at the injection site for 1–2 days post first vaccination may occur.
