Target activity of Combinex Cattle

Combinex delivers wide ectoparasite treatment and control in cattle against:

Gastrointestinal roundworms (adults and developing immature stage)

  • Haemonchus spp
  • Trichostrongylus spp
  • Cooperia spp
  • Nematodirus spp
  • Bunostomum spp
  • Oesophagostomum spp
  • Ostertagia spp (immature and adult, but not inhibited larvae)

Lungworms (adults and fourth stage larvae): Dictyocaulus viviparus

Liver fluke: Fasciola hepatica – from 2 week old early immature to adult fluke

For the treatment and control of parasitic bronchitis, parasitic gastroenteritis and fasciolosis in cattle.

When used at the recommended dose rate, effective against the mature and developing immature stages of levamisole sensitive Haemonchus, Trichostrongylus, Cooperia, Nematodirus, Bunostomum and Oesophagostomum species in the gastrointestinal tract, and Dictyocaulus spp. in the lungs.

Effective against developing immature and adult Ostertagia, but is not active against inhibited larvae.

It is also highly effective against all stages of triclabendazole susceptible Fasciola hepatica from two week old early immature to adult fluke.

Dosage and administration

An oral drench and is suitable for use through most types of automatic drenching guns.

Recommended dose rate: 7.5 mg levamisole hydrochloride/kg bodyweight and 12 mg triclabendazole/kg bodyweight. This is equivalent to 1 ml Combinex Cattle per 10 kg bodyweight.

Not for use in lactating cows including during the dry period.

Can be used in heifers, but not in the last trimester of pregnancy

Withdrawal period

Meat – Animals must not be slaughtered for human consumption during treatment.

Cattle should not be slaughtered for human consumption within 56 days of the last treatment.
