Fasimec Sheep Duo

Fasimec Duo is an oral suspension combination flukicide and wormer for sheep. It contains triclabendazole and ivermectin and is for the treatment and control of liver fluke, gastrointestinal roundworms, lungworms and nasal bots. For oral administration in sheep over 3 months of age

Target activity of Fasimec Duo

Fasimec Duo targets infections due to gastrointestinal roundworms, lungworms, liver fluke and nasal bots.

Gastrointestinal roundworms (adult and immature)

Haemonchus contortus, Teladorsagia (Ostertagia) circumcincta, Trichostrongylus spp, Cooperia spp, Nematodirus spp including N.battus, Strongyloides papillosus, Oesophagostomum spp and adult Chabertia ovina.

Inhibited larval stages and benzimidazole resistant strains of Haemonchus contortus and Teladorsagia (Ostertagia) circumcincta are also controlled.

Liver fluke (mature, immature and early immature stages down to less than 1 week old): Fasciola hepatica

Lungworms (adult and immature): Dictyocaulus filaria

Nasal bots (all stages): Oestrus ovis

Fasimec Sheep Duo Dosage

Fasimec Duo is given as an oral suspension and is suitable for use through most types of automatic drenching guns. Fasimec Duo should only be given to young, pregnant, lactating or stressed sheep following a risk/benefit analysis.

Fasimec Duo is recommended to be administered once to susceptible ewes pre-lambing (in winter) and once to susceptible ewes and replacement lambs in autumn. The administration of product should only be repeated following veterinary advice on the local epidemiological situation. If treatment is to be repeated, a minimum of 9 week interval must be observed in order to avoid accumulation of residues.

Fasimec Duo should only be given to young, pregnant, lactating or stressed sheep following a risk/benefit analysis. Fasimec Duo is recommended to be administered once to susceptible ewes pre-lambing (in winter) and once to susceptible ewes and replacement lambs in autumn.

Recommended dose rate: 2ml per 10kg bodyweight

Fasimec Sheep Duo Withdrawals

  • Meat – Sheep may be slaughtered for human consumption only after 27 days from last treatment.
  •  Animals must not be slaughtered for human consumption during treatment.
  • Milk – Do not administer to animals producing milk intended for human consumption.
